Farewell 2012. I Am What I Am.

2012 was a rather interesting year.  One of immense self-discovery.

Although there were highs, there were some incredible lows which were followed by periods of confusion.

I was never one to talk openly (and by this, I mean completely openly) about my dreams and goals for fear of being laughed at however, the last few years, ironically, saw me do just that.  With the intention of being held accountable, I revealed my dreams and goals to people and shared with them my plans to achieve those goals, in detail.  In great detail.  The result: nothing.  I simply lost the will and drive to work for them.  I now realise that in sharing, I was, in a rather crazy-probably-psychologically-related way, psyching myself out of what I thought I was psyching myself up for.

Strange how my brain works!  Is this the case for anyone?

For me, 2013 will be about the five P s:

Positivity

Perseverance

Practice

Performance

Pizzazz!

It will be about enjoying what I can while I endure what I must.

With that, I wish you a very happy, healthy and fulfilling year ahead.

As great-great-great-great Uncle George Bernard Shaw says,

“Life isn't about finding yourself; it is about creating yourself”.
